Well, it has, after a 38 year trot out away from the sun, begun it's "turnaround" back toward the sun. It's gone out 3.27 billion miles away from the sun. The last time the comet was at this point was 1948. The last time it was seen cruising by earth was Feb. 9, 1986. It will again pass us in 2061. "They say" Halley's Comet comes around twice in the avg person's life...... I was a FR at Ole Miss last time it showed itself ('86) and will be 94 to see it when it returns in 2061, God willing and the creek don't rise. hahaha
