Last night was episode 4, it’s the history of the Celtics. Done very very well.
Episode 3 was the Havlicek and Cowens years. Though it was before my time, I never knew Cowens was such a supposed free spirit as they portrayed him. Said he drove a taxi around Boston in Off-season just to mingle w the local folk.
But episode 4 last night was the entry of Bird/ McHale/ Ainge and Parrish.
NEVER knew Cedric Maxwell hit a fan in the east conf finals of 1981 in Philly, and the show depicted it as he didn’t even get an ejection. I may have misunderstood it but regardless, he did a Ron Artest long before the malice in the palace.
And Red Auerbach was a scouting/ basketball genius w/ the talent he could assemble.
Just a great show so far. Episode 5 should pick up w/ the 1984 season and their first meeting in finals w the Lakers.
