bama loses their best ever basketball recruit to agents scandal

Is there a good time for an Ole Miss fan to sling crap? Most of your sports programs suck even under the best of circumstances.

Whether Malzahn stays or goes, our football program will still be far better than Ole Miss. if you did a little more research, you would know Auburn already hired a fantastic new softball coach to replace the old one. The new coach has been endorsed by Jenny Finch who might be the most famous softball player ever

oh shit fan, yes when it's Aubarn, the Cam Newton Church Foundation, we can sling it without hesitation. Just because you laid it off on the jumpers doesn't fool anyone. You're very much Hillary-Clintonesque if you want to get down to it.

So who did Ms. Finch play for; on second thought don't bother - it is softball after all.

Ole Miss football can't win shit even when you do cheat. See your current situation for proof

Are you kidding? Auburn has won or tied for the western division 8 times, played in the SEC championship game 5 times, won the championship game 3 times, played in two national championship games, and won one national championship all without going on probation even once.

This will be the third time Ole Miss has gone on probation since the late 1980's, and you have zero championships to show for those probations

Meanwhile, across state, Ms St has won a divisional title and did it without cheating!

Didn't you guys go on a lengthy probation while bowden was there in the 90's or are we just supposed to talk about ole miss from the 80's on and you guys from after you got off probation?

Yes. The Eric Ramsey scandal - where an existing player ( not a recruit) begged Pat Dye for money on behalf of his wife and child - wherein Ramsey recorded conversations with coaches and boosters while begging for money.
Not the same as what Ole Miss has admitted doing.

So that was an early '90s probation and Auburn has been clean as a whistle since.

OJ didn't kill his wife either.

He'll play sooner or later. Emmert still runs the NCAA. How much time does Pearl have left? Only days I'd bet. Softball coach is already been dismissed for screwing one of his players. Malzhan could be gone also. Not the time to be an Auburn poster slinging crap. Too much is splashing backward.

barners in deeper doo-doo than you Rebs are. FBI, NCAA and SACS all racing to see who shuts down the school first.

They did both. Dye paid his players, had them set up like a real job. Bowden said when he took over that players started showing up in his office looking for their check. "What are you talking about?" he asked. "Where's my check? Coach told me to come here for my check, so I come here every week to get my check". Bowden put a stop to it and told the boosters aubarn had to stop cheating. That's why they ran him off.

No Ole Miss fan is on Auburn’s board. We are on our own board. You don’t have to be here you know. Why are you here anyway? Probably banned from the Bama site.

AUBURN: 7

Auburn was a triple threat in 1958 earning a 3 year post season ban, 3 year TV ban and recruiting restrictions because they didn’t learn their lesson while on probation in 1957.

Does that year sound familiar? That’s probably because Auburn claims one of their 2 national championships in 1957. This al.com article about it is entitled “Auburn’s 1957 Championship Came Out of Nowhere.” The NCAA knows where it came from.

Auburn was busy getting busted for a couple of decades before Eric Ramsey recorded conversations with Coach Pat Dye and other assistants about getting paid to play at Auburn.

Auburn Athletic Director and Head Coach Pat Dye was forced out and incoming Head Coach Terry Bowden was forced to keep up the player payment plan if he wanted Auburn to play football. Bowden later admitted to making the payments on tape.

Auburn earned another couple of years of worth of bowl bans for that stunt and stunted the post season of the undefeated 1993 Tigers too.

Most recently, Auburn was cleared of any wrong doing involved with the recruitment of Cam Newton even though his father admitted to shopping him around for between $120,000-$180,000 dollars. Auburn, without an ounce of irony, pushed the #allin hashtag while Cam Newton pushed the Tigers to their second national championship.

Two SEC schools are tied with Auburn at #5 with 7 violations; Texas A&M and Georgia. Mississippi State and Kentucky have 6 violations a piece and share the #6 spot for schools with the most major NCAA violations.

AUBURN IS NUMBER ONE!
Auburn is also tied for number one on the list with for the most bowl bans by any team with Southern Methodist University.

Are you kidding? The barn has been on probation three times since the early 90s (that's more recent than the late 80s). And this will mark your fourth probation since 1991.

BTW, two more basketball staffers were just fired, that makes three now. One of the boog trolls here claimed Chuck Person was a 'rouge' coach. Apparently not. Austin Wiley and Daniel Purifoy still can't play.
