I was wondering if there was any progress on an NIL program for baseball. I had heard from various people that the Ole Miss baseball program is possibly creating an NIL program to help offset the scholarship limitations issue that the Rebels have suffered from for decades. Does anyone have any information on this?
My second question, does the formation of an NIL program that helps level the financial playing field in NCAA baseball, cause some support to be lost for Mike Bianco? I have heard over the years that one of the biggest selling points for Bianco is his ability to masterfully navigate the scholarship limitations that Ole Miss has when compared to other teams in the SEC. I know that @Chase Parham has mentioned this many times on the Oxford Exxon Podcast. If an NIL program is available that essentially puts all baseball players on a functionally full scholarship, does this in some way impact some supporters value in Mike Bianco?
