I have a solution for Keith Carter and the basketball program. Everyone keeps talking about spending tons of money on the best coaches and on the best players. Instead of spending all of that money with no result, we should reallocate the basketball resources to football and baseball. Then we should drop our basketball program out of the SEC and let Keith or another former alumni coach the team. Every year we could have a tryout for any student who wants to play and then we schedule games against D3 Mississippi Alabama and tenn schools like milsaps, valley, MC, and other smaller schools. It would be entertaining and with no expectations they can never let us down. Also think about the advantage that would give us in the other two sports more NIL resources and most of all scholarships. Why do we have to be good at everything when we can be great at a few sports. Also we could focus the pavilion on what matters which is music concerts ie more money for the athletic department. You can hate on this idea but I’m not wrong. This is isn’t Texas or Alabama, we don’t have endless resources so why not save millions.
