I realize that this is an obvious point but I stood 2 years in a row watching Johnny Football march down the field and destroy our defense - knowing the entire time we had zero chance to stop him.
To me, the biggest change from then to now is that with the game on the line we have a top NATIONAL defense. Nobody in the country wants to have to face the prospect of having to march down the field throwing the ball against the clock with our d-line's ears pinned back and our secondary ball hawking.
My point is just how far we have come in such a short time.
