I’m not an employee lawyer so I have just as much of an idea about this as the next guy. Collective bargaining in professional sports exists because they have a monopoly (or pretty much a monopoly) for their sport, right? The easiest thing for colleges to do would be to kill the ncaa and just separate into multiple different conferences that aren’t affiliated and aren’t controlled by the same rules. It would kill the sport as we know it, but I think that is more likely than colleges going into collective bargaining agreements with students.
