Here is the resume of one of the 13 committee members-
Spent 14 years at USA Today as a national college football writer and also specialized in reporting on the Olympics and World Cup.
Has covered seven Olympic Games, nine World Cups (men's and women's) as well as the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and multiple college sports.
Was the first female president of the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA). A former Newsday reporter and a Sports Illustrated staff writer. Her work has also appeared in The New York Times.
Has been a Professor in Sports Media and Journalism at Montclair State University since 2014 and has taught at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and Rutgers University.
So much on the line and they put somebody like this on the committee. Friggin ridiculous. If you're on that committee, you should be able to go to a chalkboard and draw out the blocking schemes of inside zone and outside zone vs an even front and then an odd front. Something that every junior high coach in the country can do. But no. Lets put a female journalist on there. She'll know who's deserving and how they should be seeded.
