I haven't chimed in about our verbal commitment list so here I go. My thoughts about needs are based not only on immediate help but preparing for a yr or two down the road also. Before someone tries to point it out...yes I have more than 25 on my total need list but remember that we can sign some early enrollers.
TE (2 verbals)(need 2 total) - great
OL (4 verbals)(need 5 total) - good but need one more big time verbal
QB (1 verbal)(need 1 total) - great
WR (1 verbal)(need 4 total) - somewhat concerning. we have some top prospects looking at us but we would have to pick up about 45% of them. having Patterson on board may pull this through.
RB (4 verbals)(need 2 total) - great
DL (2 verbals)(need 6 total) - not concerned yet. we have a good many top prospects looking at us
LB (2 verbals)(need 2 total) - somewhat concerning. numbers are ok but we don't have as many big time players as I would like to see at the position and there really isn't many looking at us.
DB (2 verbals)(need 7 total) - concerning. there are a good many top prospects looking at us but I am still concerned simply due to the high number we need to sign
