where Neil and Chaste are discussing the lack of teaching reads to qb and the idea that the wr's came to the huddle and said were they would be open. As I recall Longo had to cut the playlist after the Cal loss saying that was too much for the guys to digest so he cut it to 12 plays or what ever small number. We could score pretty well vs most teams but if they had and D at all we struggled especially in the red zone. Im not for or against Longo, just saying the presumption I was under vs what they're saying now about his offense. They're saying open practice to media and the Red Blue game will show nothing, which is fine, so why have one?

Longo was an idiot! At least McGriff lacked talented players. Longo had a beast wr Corp, a solid qb, solid rb and solid OL. What did he do with it? He beat up the cupcake teams where the talent gap was gravely apparent and choked against any team that had a pulse on defense. If Rich Rod had that much talent what would he have been able to do with it?
