Thanks! Winning the Sugar Bowl, having a 10 win season with victories over Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and Miss. State in the same year made it sweet. Being able to give the backups playing time in the second half gave them positive game time experience.
Freeze cleared the bench the second half. Our last TD was with the second team O line. Their last TD was with the scout team defense. Kelly was pulled with enough time left for a couple more TD's. Freeze could have scored much more if he wanted to pile on. Not in him though.
I fixed it for you? WTF, are you so stupid you think OSU was/is on the same level as Ole Miss? Ole Miss could have scored 60 if they had chosen to do so.

How nostalgic. It's been a while since we've heard from a fan of that pipsqueak directional school. We used to get a lot of their trolls during the Bower era when they made their living off of playing big teams close (but still usually losing) and steamrolling through that pathetically weak conference.
How long before southern miss ends up being demoted to AA football? You might as well. You may only get 65 scholarships, but as it is the 85 you get now are wasted on AA talent.
Three years removed from the worst coaching hire in the history of college football, Southern Miss has completed the turn around. No one in Hattiesburg is disappointed with where the Eagles stand going into the next season.
We just produced a season with a 4000 yard passing QB and two 1000 yard rushing RBs (that's only the second time that has happened in the history of college football).
We would have rather beat Washington in the recent bowl game, but we did score 31 points against the #1 defense in PAC-12. (Only Utah scored more (34), not Stanford, USC, or Oregon).
Should Chad Kelly bolt for the NFL, we will have the best QB in the state this Fall.
Assertions that Southern Miss is headed to AA are misinformed at best and delusional at worst.

Proud of USM-said from an Ole Miss fan. But you need to bring the likes of FSU, Nebraska, and other more prominent programs to your schedule. Lived in Hattiesburg for several years in the early '90s. Great town.

Oh, HightowerReb, be nice. Got to beat the Utah Wesleyans, and Northern Montanas of the college football world first and then proceed from there. Otherwise, USM will stay irrelevant.
Stand corrected about Neb. Needs to continue. I'm also an USM fan, to be honest. Glad USM is getting a better, more challenging schedule. To the top. . .!
