My wife and I had scored some field passes and we were standing in that field suite right by the cannon. (If you've ever wondered....they shoot 10 gauge shotgun shell blanks). Anyway, the split second the clock went to all zeros, a Vandy player (and I'm kicking myself for not getting his name but it had to be a tight end or receiver) sprinted over to the cannon where all of the military were gathered, took off his gloves, and gave them to a soldier thanking him for his service. The soldier had a little boy with him and he turned around and gave them to the kid. I thought the little boy was going to cry he was so excited. Glad I got to witness that.
