They look at the last 10 seasons with greater weight on the more recent seasons. Then they adjust some based on coaches, recruiting base, facilities, etc.

8. Ole Miss

Ole Miss

2019 Rank: 19. Ole Miss head coach Mike Bianco has cultivated one of the more passionate fan bases in all of college baseball in Oxford, and that fan base got to experience the highest of the highs last season as the Rebels, which narrowly made the NCAA tournament, put together a magical run that ended with not only a trip to the College World Series but the program’s first national title. That national championship culminated what had been four-straight strong seasons. Ole Miss reached an NCAA Regional final back in 2018 with a 48-17 overall record, and it made back-to-back Super Regional appearances in 2019 and ’21 with records of 41-27 and 45-22, respectively. Then last season, the Rebels went 42-23 and left little doubt on the way to the national title. This is a program that deserves to win a national title, much like rival Mississippi State did two seasons ago. Ole Miss has a great fan base, the facilities are top notch and continue to get even better, and the administration very much adores college baseball. Oxford is a great town and the recruiting base is solid. The run last year also allows the Rebels to extend their recruiting tentacles further than ever. Ole Miss checks pretty much every box
