In today's Athletic, SEC commish Sankey is interested in making a few tweaks to CFP for '25 season and hopes there's interest from others to do so. Any tweak for '25 would require unanimous agreement from the 10 FBS conferences and Notre Dame and says that 2026 might be a better opportunity for change since there's no contract beyond '26. His "tweaks" would include going away from bowl sites for the quarterfinals, only, as the top 4 seeds didn't get a home game. He would also keep the byes for the conference champions but re-seed after the first round. Probably going nowhere.
