Do we have any idea how badly Beard wants/wanted to keep Abram?

I felt like Abram was a different player before Ruffin came back. When Ruffin returned, Abram played tentatively, and I think was trying to be conscientious of his role when he was on the floor. But I love his game.

I know it has been discussed here - because of defensive rotations/switching - that Beard likes a certain type of guard, and I have no clue what that type of guard looks like or if Abram fits that.

I do know he wasn’t always a willing defender, and I could see that being problematic.
