I just started using a quasi-driving iron two weeks ago and I absolutely love it. It's a Ping G410 Crossover and it has replaced the 22-degree 5H hybrid in my bag.
I bought it initially because my irons only went to a 5 and I found I missed the utility of a 4-iron, especially for low punch shots. This works great for that, but I've used it off the tee several times too and it's a blast to hit, carrying about 225-235 yards when struck properly. It's a little harder to shape shots with it than a traditional iron, but then I'm not necessarily looking for that with this club.
Anybody else use one? What have been your impressions/results?
