The B10:
- pays more
- has elite academics second only to the Ivy League
- no buzz saw of a schedule like the SEC
- for the academia that run some of the east coast schools, more liberals up north, south is trump country
You get that the SEC doesn’t get first pick right?
FSU would sell their grandma to win a natty in football. OU and Texas would too. Can’t say the same for UNC, UVA, GT, and even Clemson thinks their shit don’t stink. You guys talk about NC state being more of a fit: they’re top notch in science, engineering, and tech while UNC pretends it’s a private school.
Those schools would rather look down their nose at the SEC and pretend they’re not selling out rather than being a punching bag for Bama, UGA, LSU, Florida, OU, Texas squared, and the rest.
NC State, VT, and Louisville may be the only realistic options for the SEC if we’re interested in them..
Or we may get second pickings if the B10 decides they’re only interested in UNC and UVA.
