Very discouraging outcome and disappointed for the fans and they showed up with good energy and especially as we took the lead. A win we have to come away with and in all areas we had a chance to do that and that goes for special teams and offense and then on defense played well but they gave up a drive and give Stoops credit for something he rarely does and threw a go ball and guy made a great play. Knocked the ball out on the fumble but they got it. We have no one to blame but ourselves to even be in a one-play game like that. Did a lot wrong to even get to that spot. Turned it over once and in the red zone. Get no turnovers and they make every fourth down.
I think I’ve said it during the week but UK is one of the premier defensive teams and especially in the front seven in college football. Saw what Georgia did on offense last night against Bama but Georgia didn’t get 300 yards on UK. They’ll give people defensive problems. And especially when offense keeps them alive. We have to perform better. More of a heavy dosage of pass early. Because of how they play on defense and how tough they are to run between the tackles.
No update on Jayden, doing some tests and seeing trainers today. He’s a valuable piece for us but people have to step up. Hard test to step into. Did a good job yesterday and Diego can continue to improve if that’s the case. He’s played half the snaps any way.
