Jackson, Miss., OT Rod Taylor, the consensus top player in Mississippi, will commit tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Callaway High School. Unless something changes in the next 24 hours or so, Taylor will commit to Ole Miss.

His teammate, DL Breeland Speaks, isn't ready to announce a decision yet. I'm told that Speaks will likely announce a decision late this month or early in August. Ole Miss remains the prohibitive favorite for Speaks.

I'm hearing WR Markell Pack will visit Florida State this weekend for the first time. Pack, a soft commitment to the Seminoles, has been wavering on that commitment. It's possible, according to a source, Pack could flip to the Rebels later this month. It's also possible, of course, that the Seminoles could firm things up with Pack this weekend. His recruiting remains something to follow.

Ole Miss, according to a source, continues to make strides with Greenville, Miss., LB Gerri Green. However, Mississippi State is pushing hard for a commitment from Green, and the Bulldogs remain the favorite as of this point.

Latta, S.C., OT Donell Stanley is making a tour of sorts this week. Stanley, ranked by Rivals.com as the nation's No. 43 prospect, will visit South Carolina Friday, Alabama on Saturday, Ole Miss on Monday and LSU on Wednesday.
