UT has ALWAYS locked down Memphis. There have been exceptions like

and just a few more but that covers our entire history. If UT wants a player they are usually going to get him if he does not go to Bama. The UT-Bama thing is why the FBI hung out in Memphis 20 years ago. And Georgia has some boosters in Memphis that throw some around too.
