Golf club question

My son is about to start his sophomore year at Ole Miss. He’s started playing golf and has been using my golf clubs this summer. I don’t play very often but I don’t want to send my clubs with him to Oxford. He’s taken a few lessons but is in the very early stages . He plans on playing with his fraternity brothers a lot more this fall. Looking for a recommendation on some reasonable golf clubs, ie iron sets and driver. I don’t want to spend a bunch of money but want to get him a quality set that will last. Should I look at Dicks or go to a golf shop like Edwin Watts? He’s about 6 ft 3 so not sure if a standard set would work. Any advice would be appreciate. TIA.
