I have a shitty launch monitor. I’m a shitty player that wants to get better.

I’m also a realist.

I am most consistent with a deep front shoulder turn (really it’s a dip the lead shoulder to the ball and moving my head forward) and then push up vertically.

This wears me the **** out and I can’t even sleep comfortably after a couple of hundred hits on the mat.

I can hit the same club speeds with less effort, but I yank the hell out of it.

I want to be able to play until I die without relying on what feels like I’m trying to dunk a basketball.

On the other hand, I want to play good now.

How do you find “your swing”? Feeling uncertain is holding me back from equipment upgrades, fittings, knowing yardages, and many other things.

I need help. Tried a coach and he set me back six months of progress to be square all of the time because he essentially inadvertently introduced flipping into my game.

I feel lost.

I’m 46 now. I didn’t grow up playing. Played a bit in college and was playing off high teens. Then a long, long break after marriage.
