I've made it to Texas and just finished up a good steak and some brussels sprouts. We'll start the season in earnest tomorrow at 3 p.m. I'm really interested to see Hunter Elliott back in action. He's only had one real start since the national title game and none outside of Oxford. It's also a new world for Mike tomorrow with him staying away from pitching decisions. It should be an interesting day and interesting weekend. It feels like Ole Miss goes as Elliott goes. They badly need an ace. The experience in the rotation should be a major positive. I think it's a big day for Smithwick, too.
There are Oklahoma State fans everywhere in my hotel. I wonder if the team is staying here because otherwise it's odd to have that many from one team.
