There have been so many discussions over the past few years about the "new landscape" and NIL payments but help me figure out how all this started. It seemed like there were lawsuits made against the NCAA because they were profiting off of amateur athletes so new rules we passed. Am I mistaken on why they sued the NCAA to make money because NCAA was banking all the benefits (or guess the conferences off of TV contracts too) but why is it that the NCAA/Conferences are stilling making all the money and all of the NIL payments are coming from fans/businesses that were not a part of the lawsuit?? Am i missing something?
