Everything looked lost.

Then the rest of Saturday unfolded.

Auburn beats A&M in OT.

So after our loss:
#7 Alabama (8-3) loses to 5-5 Oklahoma - who we beat - by 3 touchdowns
#15 Texas A&M (8-3) loses to 4-6 Auburn in OT
#14 BYU loses its second straight at ASU
#16 Colorado loses to 4-6 Kansas
# 5 Indiana destroyed at Ohio State

Games of note next week:
- #1 Oregon hosts Washington
- #2 Ohio State hosts Michigan
- #3 Texas at Texas A&M (8-3)
- #5 (for now) Indiana (10-1) at Purdue (1-10)
- #6 Notre Dame at USC (who should’ve beaten Penn State)
- #7 Alabama (8-3) hosts Auburn (5-6)
- #8 Miami (10-1) at Syracuse (8-3)
- #10 Georgia hosts 7-4 Georgia Tech
- #11 Tennessee at Vanderbilt
- #12 Boise State hosts Oregon State
- #18 South Carolina (8-3) at #17 Clemson (9-2)
- Kansas State at #22 (for now) 9-2 Iowa State

Michigan, Washington and Purdue wins would be hilarious but only the Indiana loss would help in the big picture.

Pulling for USC, Texas, Auburn, Syracuse, GT, Vanderbilt, Oregon State, South Carolina, Kansas State.

There will be upsets among this group. I wouldn’t be surprised to see USC, Auburn, Syracuse, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Oregon State, South Carolina and Kansas State win their games.

We benefit most from wins by the underdogs - with the exception of Texas. There will be some upsets in that group.

Take care of business Friday and we still have a much better playoff shot than we thought earlier.
