I have some very close friends there. I’ve had some interesting experiences there. Dessert at the general over military intelligence’s house. Coffee in a Hezbollah members house. An 18-course meal at a military base. Some very interesting experiences.

I am praying for the people of Lebanon, especially my friends. I am on the board for a school that serves impoverished children. They are the sweetest and are helpless in this altercation.

Lebanon’s power structure is basically divided into thirds. One third of the government is Shia, 1/3 Sunni, and 1/3 Christian. When left to the Lebanese it operates pensively but peacefully. When Iran’s proxies are mobilized it goes to pot and the common people suffer.

I wish Israel would bomb Iran into oblivion and destroy their ability to export terror. Sadly, I think the people of Lebanon will pay the price instead.

Hopefully someday I will be back to having shawarma at Joseph’s and dinner at Al Sultan Ibrahim in peace.
