This may be an unpopular opinion, but my excitement stems from Austin Simmons (who I believe is a more talented QB than Dart) and the addition of skill players like Caleb Cunningham.
As a lifelong fan, I am still comfortable to what Lane is building here. We are not Oregon, but it took Chip Kelly a while to get Oregon to be recognized as a consistent, really good / great program. With the incoming class, I am confident Ole Miss will at least make a run at the playoff every year over the next few years. It makes me feel better that Lane has grown to love Oxford.
Probably / likely not making the playoff this year will suck, but it won't sting because I beleive next year we have a chance to be better
