Playing from the championship tees. 7550 yards. Thursday pins. Crowds. TV cameras. These greens. Rarely a flat lie in the fairway. Play everything down and play everything out. No pickups.
I’m currently playing to a 7.6.
I think I would be lucky to shoot 100. Probably closer to a 110.
There are multiple par 4s that if I didn’t hit a great drive I would have hybrid or even 3 wood in with zero chance of stopping it in the green. Every par 5 would be a 3 shot hole, at best. I hane no idea what would hit on 4 as I could barely get a 3 wood there. Would likely make a 6.
I hit the ball about 260 off the tee. Looking at those hold there are multiple holes I couldn’t get to a decent landing area in for my second shot, as well.
Let’s hear what you think you would shoot there. For the record I have a friend here that played golf at Ole Miss and still plays regularly. He says anyone saying they would shoot 80 there is a liar. Haha.
