Thinking about last night. This is just a hypothetical assuming Sankey cant negotiate something better, which we assume he will.
If nothing changes, can the SEC go to a 6 game in conference schedule?
It seems the answer to the current format is requiring or suggesting conferences square up against each other in the regular season. Meaning the SEC would play less games in conference in order to schedule games against Big 10 teams, therefore forcing the Big 10 teams to actually play tougher schedules and you’d see Ole Miss play Indiana for example in the regular season.
If we’re sticking with 8 games, do you replace the bunnies with Big 10 teams etc?
Basically the committee would tell teams like Boise State if you want in you better schedule at least 2 SEC teams every year.
What I’m simply saying is other conferences should be required to play us in the regular season or the SEC has no choice but to make sure their teams have softer schedules. Can’t repeat this year where everyone beat up each other in the SEC and was penalized.
