Preface:
I met my wife in college in Missouri. Her family is from St. Louis and still live there.
95% of those from the greater St. Louis area don’t watch college football or have emotional investment in a team. (St Louis is similar to Memphis in that it is so much different than the rest of the state.) So much emotion is poured into the Blues and the Cardinals.
Here’s highlights from the night:
“so what’s with the bells…!?”
“Why can’t any other team have a bell?”
“Why is States helmet and jersey two different maroons?”
“Why does it seem like the maroon team is playing harder?” (I interpreted that as state seemed more juiced all night because it’s their Super Bowl.”
And last but not least after explaining the coaching drama,
“Well why would anyone want to be their coach if they’ve fired the last guy before the season ended?”
Y’all have a good night. It was a good night in my house.
