— Really picked a bad time to play worst game on offensive side from an execution standpoint. Unusual drops. Moving ball well early and then Tre got hurt, missed the field goal on that one and didn’t have Tre rest of the game.

—Didn’t play as well on run defense. Did well on most of the game defensively. Ten of 13 drives gave up no points. Missed most tackles of the season and gave up most yards after contact of the season.

— Going on road in SEC is hard. Lose turnover margin and lose in special teams is difficult recipe. It’s a recipe to lose.

— Lagway is a dynamic player. Steve McNair-like.

— Really disappointing. Disappointed for fans. Had worked their way back and now they’re set back.

— Playoffs still have a chance to be alive. Play before everyone else. Go play very well, meaningful game, big rivalry game. Tom Luke speaking to the team about it tonight. Short week. Excited to play in front of fans at home.

— On Bentley:

It’s nothing off the field at all. Wonderful kid. He does everything we ask of him. We just haven’t been very consistent and productive at that spot. Tried something else yesterday. Is what it is. Lot of respect for him. Appreciate how he’s handled the situation. Have to make hard decisions in coaching.

— You can put a bunch of pool into running back and then he gets hurt and then you don’t have other positions. Complicated question, complicated answer. NFL has dealt with it for years.

— On Wright:

He got hurt in the game. Bad first half from injuries. Banks out, Harris out, Wright limited. McIntyre out, really cost on critical third-down snap. Rough spot moving guard to center. Really banged up in this game. Watkins aggravated hamstring, pushed way through, nowhere near 100 percent rest of the game. Looked a little slow motion once Harris went out. That was really costly on two different potential touchdowns.

— Banks is out for the season. He’ll have surgery tomorrow.

— On Wells:

Juice would be the first to tell you he’s had ups and downs this year. Missed spring, missed preseason camp.

— On not taking FGs:

Every situation is different. Pegues hadn’t been stopped all year. Missed assignment on a block and Florida stopped one. On another, Pegues tried to bounce it. Had he stayed in A-gap, he would’ve made it easy. Pegues has done a great job all year. He’s been a big weapon all year.

— On Dart’s comments:

Spent last night with him at the house. He puts a lot into Ole Miss and the team, as much as any player he’s ever seen, maybe more. Dart felt like he let down team, school, city. On film, he played great until the end of the game. He worked through some tough situations. Lots of yards dropped. Made a poor decision on the next to last interception. Up until then, he’d played really good. Playing on an ankle injury, too. Very proud of him, how he played and competed. Had a number of great runs, gives everything he can for team/school. Does anything to win.
