Update:
The family that gave up the dog has moved to Alabama. My family and I have fallen in love with him. We named him Scout. The DNA results are back and he is 100% British Lab. I sent him to obedience school (linked below) and I would highly recommend it. He’s going to get trained to duck hunt as well but regardless of how he does, he’s going to be my best buddy for hopefully a long time.
