It's the last time to talk about it which is always one of the issues where you lose and have to deal with that and watch it and relive it with players and coaches and you want to move on and then we're here. I was very frustrated after the game and I told the players that's about experience and understanding what you're going through and what the moment is and how rare it might be. I was frustrated for our players to be that close and control the outcome. We could score and beat Alabama which is a rare thing. I was in that situation 13 years ago to kick a field goal. There was frustration with it. With the SEC schedule coming up, Ole Miss and Alabama won't play every year so fewer chances to happen. We missed opportunities. Bryce put his cape on and made plays. That's why he's the Heisman winner. We had a chance to finish and didn't do it. We have to move on to Arkansas which is talented and outplayed LSU for a while. They had a chance to beat LSU. They can play really well at times and it's difficult there at night with the weather.
We had a similar challenge before after LSU and we regrouped and won at A&M. You want players to lead but it's part of my job to do that and walk the guys through it. It'll be challenging.
I probably would have said a lot of officiating yesterday but now I'm trying to put it behind me. The Jaxson part and after the whistle is disappointing. Jaxson's mom said it's a shame her son gets protected differently depending on what SEC program he plays for. She said that. I can't get fined for something I didn't say.
It's always talked about with officiating around the conference being unfair to some teams versus others. I've obviously been on both sides of it. I'll leave it at that.
Last year against Arkansas is a reminder that it's independent of other games. Every week is different. You go into a game and expect points or a game to be lopsided and then it's not. You have to prepare every week. They are all different.
Arkansas plays really hard and answered the call after the Liberty game. Early game and they played really well up front. Says a lot.
I went through stuff Saturday night and Sunday and you have to fight the frustration or something different had we done. You have to let it go eventually and make sure the players are ready. We have to teach the players we can't go back and win the game. We have to look forward and I hope they follow my lead.
There's an issue statistically with scoring without Zach and that one-two punch.I don't have more info on his availability.
Sometimes there are some thoughts with my social media and sometimes there isn't a lot of thought at all. Obviously we want to help players with brand and NIL and maximize what they can get.
Trigg practiced last week. He wasn't prepared to play because of the time off but maybe this week.
Our players are good with the cold. I'm the issue. I've tried everything. I was freezing Saturday. I even stood in the sun trying for anything. I have cold weather issues but our team seems fine. You see it sometimes but not with us. Receivers didn't shut down.
I think KJ will be back from what they said. Sam doesn't play a lot of games in the media. He's pretty open they expect him back.
