I always try to avoid the board after a loss but I did check in periodically to see what everyone was saying.
I maybe in the minority hear but I do think we have a lot to look forward too. On both side of the ball the future looks bright for Ole Miss (at least for the next two years).
Our defense was extremely young this year. So was our offense but defense is what struggled the most. I do think of the next couple of years This Ole Miss team will be the deepest we've seen in years.
Our team will be shock full of sophomores and junior that had significant playing time this year. That is a BIG DEAL. They now know the ins and out of college football and life in the SEC.
I think the new defensive staff has a lot to work with next year and the injection of new blood on the staff will add energy to our players.
This year was a down year but next year is deep and the schedule sets up pretty nice.
I think everyone needs to take a deep breath and realize we have some really good talent on our team and with the right hire, we could be off to the races next year.
A lot of people think our defense will be just as bad or worse next year. I disagree. Look at the roster and these are household names (in Mississippi) and will be leaders next year. All will have experience, be bigger and all ready to take the next step.

I think LB is still our weak spot but we can handle this.
