Been away from home all day. The only thing that fueled my desire to keep living was the much anticipated second edition of Neal's Picks 2015. Most people will not understand why I look forward to the Week 2 picks with splendiferous glee, but historically Neal's picks strikes gold during the second week of the season. I've attributed this to the ski jump model. Below baseline Week 1 approaching the jump, then take off Week 2, only to return to, below, and buried beneath the baseline in subsequent weeks. But, I digress.

So, color me shocked when I get home to read the much anticipated wealth of knowledge to see so much hate regarding the town where I spend most of my days. Specifically, within a few hundred yards of where I wittle away assisting in developing formidable minds and shaping mine as well. Jonesboro is a lovely town. Okay, lovely in the sense that you can go to a bank to withdraw a twenty, spend it within 30 feet at any favorite low-scale dining establishment, and then walk next door to church to thank God for said great meal. Seriously though, the stadium has went through renovations this past year of in box suites (that now provide alcohol), a new indoor practice facility, and 42 new waterclosets for women (see link below). Who doesn't like taking care of women's bodily needs? Not to mention the road department's attempt to make Red Wolf Boulevard more beautiful by updating the median.

At kickoff, with temps below 70, ASU will host the back to back SEC East champs. That hasn't been done since, well ask Houston Nutt. And yes, I said host. After ASU refused up to $2 million (chump change for the Funbelt) to move the game to Jeffrey's hallowed home: Busch Stadium. Tickets for the game are $55-$75, a significant upgrade to the usual $15 at the door and we might throw in an additional ticket for fun mantra that normally encompasses Redwolf game day. Know how many facebook statuses I've read about how families will spend $200 to do their favorite weekend past time? ASU has reached elite status. Even Vegas respects them after a 55-6 loss to USC (the non Spurrier, much better, drunken led program). So if you've read this much, I only have one question for you....

Why the hate?
