The NCAA's dead period continues this week - that means that coaches can't have face to face contact with recruits (on or off campus) but can make a phone call once a week. It's New Year's week, and there's likely to be limited recruiting news, so instead of having a daily recruiting thread, we'll call it New Year's week recruiting nuggets to highlight any recruiting news about recruits Ole Miss is or has been involved in. We plan to continue to pursue some recruits that you have requested an update on and if we can get them on the phone, we'll definitely bring you the updates this week.
There will be plenty of Cotton Bowl coverage. Neal is in Dallas and I'll be joining him late Tuesday and will be at the press conference Wednesday and practice later that morning. After that, practices are basically closed until the game.
