First of all, they aren’t all perfect but the investments we made into the defense this offseason seem to have been good decisions. LSU seems to be truly great in pass pro but we shut down their run all night. The secondary also did pretty well considering the time their qb had to throw.

On the other hand, a lot of the offensive moves just make no sense. @tsiskey always says that lane has a pro mindset and wants to feed one guy. What was the point in splurging on a juice wells who had to be expensive when we don’t seem interested in incorporating him into the offense at all? Surely we could have brought in some better oline reinforcements if more had been allocated there. We also don’t seem to make much effort to get the tight ends or Watkins involved. I know I don’t have a huge amount of technical knowledge like coaches but a couple of our signings seem to have been made without any plan to actually make the most of their abilities.
