That was disgusting. The game should have been called. Wes Rucker should be ashamed of his homer ridiculousness that included him saying before the issue that he wouldn’t blame anyone for rioting. UT had a hell of an atmosphere and then became the laughingstock of college football.

The football Gods are just and holy Gods. Ole Miss deserved to win after that. Also, what the hell was Milton doing on that last play?

My God at Matt Corral tonight. It was a Heisman-worthy performance despite patchwork situations all around him on offense except at running back. He threw for 231 despite a couple huge drops and ran for 195 yards on 30 carries, singlehandedly keeping Ole Miss in the game. He made that work with duct tape. Dude is incredible.

Corral went 233 throws between interceptions and was the last FBS starting quarterback to throw an interception this season. It came in the fourth quarter of the sixth game.

The downfield blocking was really good on Saturday. There’s so much improvisation by Corral that players had to redirect and find a way to get hats on defenders down the field. Jerrion Ealy and Nick Broeker were critical with it, as were others. There was a bit of a backyard football element, and players adjusted well to it.

Jahcour Pearson couldn’t wait for this one to end. He caught one pass for 19 yards, but two critical drops — including one near the goal line — and multiple penalties defined his night. Ole Miss was playing without Braylon Sanders for most of the game and Chase Rogers and Jonathan Mingo for all the game, and Corral got little help from Pearson. It was a rough night and really costed Ole Miss in Knoxville. It literally changed the tenor of the game.

Penalties in general continue to be a problem for Ole Miss. This crew was clueless at times in both directions, but the Rebels commit some lack of focus penalties each game.

Communication up front was a hug issue for Ole Miss, especially in the first half. It seemed like some adjustments were made after that and it definitely helped, but early on everything was discombobulated as the injuries and the lack of experience didn’t do well communicating in such a raucous environment.

Jake Springer stabilized some things defensively. He puts Otis Reese in better position and is physical in the box. I thought he really provided a spark and made the defense look at times like they want it to look.

Tennessee’s injuries at offensive tackle mixed with Ole Miss winning some rush one-on-ones completely took the Vols out of rhythm in the first half. Ole Miss didn’t get enough pressure in the second half. The Rebels couldn’t continue to take advantage of it.

Outside of Corral, the run game just never got on track and didn’t have a lot of room. Snoop Conner and Jerrion Ealy averaged fewer than three yards per rush for most of the game, and Henry Parrish was at 3.5 per rush.

This team has to get healthy fast. Got a physical one on Saturday at home against LSU. Corral and the defense as a whole did what was necessary, but the injuries are really adding up. Depth was already a problem. This team can be Corral and a skeleton crew quickly.

It's Ole Miss' win in Knoxville since 1983.
