Offensive Genius

I’m seriously asking.

I hear Lane Kiffin referred to as an offensive genius. What does this mean exactly? I ask because it seems someone that proficient at offense would be able to:

• Design plays that would generate a higher percentage of success in the red zone
• Plays to exploit defenses that are inferior in talent to our offense
• Have a sounder plan for short yardage situations

Is he an offensive genius or did I get bad information?
