We hired Kiffin. Regardless of who got that done, we got it done. That’s all that matters. And we’ve done everything asked of us to retain him and remain competitive in the sport.
We are the reigning national champions in baseball with one of the most respected coaches in the country. Our program will be, at worst, Top 10 in the country.
And in basketball we are about to hire a Top 5-10 coach in his prime. It’s very reasonable to expect Ole Miss basketball to be one of the top 6-7 programs in the conference every year and make the NCAA tournament consistently, and even make runs in the tournament.
It really is incredible to see the death of WAOM happening one sport at a time. I’m so glad that we are finally recognizing that Ole Miss doesn’t have to be “little Ole Miss” anymore.
