OXFORD, Miss. -- A day after announcing a record year for Ole Miss in the classroom the good news continues, with the latest Academic Progress Rate (APR) report released by the NCAA Wednesday. All 18 of Ole Miss' sports are above the 930 benchmark.

10 teams at Ole Miss posted multi-year APR scores at or above the national average for Division I in their respective sports, and volleyball achieved a perfect 1000 score.

The latest multi-year APR results cover the four-year period extending from the 2010-11 through 2013-14 school years.

"APR is a measure of eligibility and retention; and Ole Miss' overall improvement is a sign of a stable and thriving program," said senior associate athletics director Derek Cowherd. "We celebrate graduation as our `Academic National Championship' and are so proud that teams are striving to achieve their goals while also striving for unprecedented academic success."

Volleyball received a public recognition award last week from the NCAA for posting a multi-year APR score in the top 10 percent of volleyball. It marked the fourth time overall and third year in a row for volleyball to receive the award.

Joining volleyball with perfect scores for the 2013-14 year are men's golf, softball and women's tennis.

Baseball (980), men's tennis (985), women's cross country (986), women's golf (994), softball (993), soccer (985), women's tennis (993), women's outdoor track (981), volleyball (1000) and rifle (979), all posted multi-year APR scores at or above the national average (978) for Division I.

The Academic Progress Rate (APR), now in its 10th year, is a measure of classroom performance related to all participating NCAA Division I athletic programs. It is considered to be the NCAA's "real-time" snapshot of academic progress, graduation and retention. Schools that fail to reach the NCAA's minimum score can receive penalties that include loss of scholarships, public admonishment, restrictions on practice and competition and even expulsion from the NCAA.
