Well here we are, on the eve on what many could argue is the biggest game in Oxford, MS in a decade. These games are why Lane Kiffin came to Ole Miss, it’s what he has built his program for the last few years. It’s a moment that changes things though. It’s the difference in being a top 20 program that gets to good bowl games, signs solid classes, and causes headaches for other programs….to becoming more.
The information about Lane being dialed in isn’t something new, but I think what shouldn’t be under stated is the level of where he is dialed in. I’ll say this is 2020 Alabama level dialed in, but he knows he has more weapons now.
I fully expect a slug fest tomorrow, Kirby has been barking at his team all week about the importance of this game for them.
But Ole Miss & Vaught Hemingway are a different level of buzzsaw right now. It’s a team that knows they only have one option…it’s a team that is dialed in on making the College Football Playoff and intends to do just that. Georgia is standing in their way tomorrow afternoon….but Georgia better bring everything they have to have a chance tomorrow…and it still probably isn’t enough…
