I just recorded a podcast interview with Keith Carter that will run on Monday.
After that interview, I asked Keith about Mike Bianco’s contract status. Mike’s contract was not rolled over following this past season. He will coach next year with 3 years remaining on the deal.
Mike’s salary will be right at $1.2 million per my calculations. While obviously Mike’s job isn’t in jeopardy right now, this move lowers his buyout since the buyout is a percentage of salary remaining on the total deal.
Also Lafferty and Clement were extended to two-year deals.
