So, they removed some trees for the band field construction and it’s caused a batter’s eye issue. You can see the Memory House from home plate over the eye and it’s white. Engineers are looking at it to see what’s a temporary fix. Since they are close to a renovation to Swayze with things out there, they can’t do a permanent change right now. It should be taller probably but don’t know what’ll happen for Feb. 17.
No one seemed to consider this when construction was going on. Baseball staff just got to the park one day and there’s the house. They’ll know more as intrasquads happen this weekend. It’s possible it’s not the issue it seems to be. There’s no rule.
