For those of you that do not know, Birmingham Southern College announced this past spring that due to financial hardships they are closing the school. They have long been a very good baseball program for Division III. This past week they secured a Super-Regional birth for the Division III NCAA baseball tournament. For those that have a subscription to the Athletic, there is a very good article that covers the team and their unfortunate situation. These players are trying to win a National Championship, but also have the added burden of finding a new school to transfer.
