Just curious what y'all think.
If you move from one state to another, at what time do you begin to call yourself a "new state-ian".
For example, in Hugh Kellenberger's "Time for state of Alabama to stop crowing about football" article he used this sentence - "It’s just that us Mississippians have been so overjoyed during the past year."
I'm fairly confident he wasn't born in Mississippi and I've never considered him a Mississippian. He obviously feels he is now a Mississippian (which is okay by me.)
Maybe @Neal McCready can speak to this since he was born in Louisiana but has lived in both Alabama and Mississippi.
