First thing is - I'm looking for somebody to deliver and spread ag lime on some food plots around Monticello if anyone knows anyone or is available. That would be ideal and any leads would be incredibly appreciated.
With that said, since I can't find any ag lime (or anyone to spread it), I've looked at pelletized lime. However, I don't get how people use this realistically.
My soil report says I need 2 (or 3 in some cases) tons per acre of lime, so I'd only need a little less than 15 tons of ag lime across my about 4-5 acres of food plots.
When converted to pelletized lime though, it's saying I would need about 200 to 250 bags of pelletized lime depending on the RNV. And that's PER ACRE!
Am I calculating this correctly? Any help is much appreciated here.
