I am not a political savant and I don’t pretend to be. But this Hunter Biden thing is interesting. From what I understand, his plea deal included no jail time for him blatantly lying on a federal background check form to purchase a gun. Specifically, he lied about not being a drug addict.
Lying on such a form is felony and usually includes mandatory prison time. The judge in this case doesn’t like the deal because she has sent people to jail over such a crime, and I commend her.
I asked one of my good friends, who is very much a leftist, how is that defensible for those who advocate for stricter gun laws? How is it that many in the Left don’t see this as a big deal if they are all about people not breaking the law when it comes to purchasing weapons?
