The discussion of a false narrative. A white officer is 18.5 times more likely to be shot by a black suspect than vice versa. OF course you don't want to know the real stats. I agree it is horrible when police shoot anyone, however the narrative that all cops are racist and go looking for blacks to shoot down everyday has gotten out of hand and is contributing to all the violence.

Here's the problem with organizations. I identify with (2) organizations from a political standpoint...Libertarian/Fiscal Conservative. The problem, others that identify with these organizations say what I consider some stupid ass shit. For instance, open carry being allowed at ANY political convention in our current environment. WTH?!? Heck, I was against open carry the whole time it was being debated here in Texas.
Same with BLM. As I've already stated to markeeva (whom I've developed a fair amount of respect for over the last few days) there are some individuals who attend these rallies and do/say some stupid ass shit. Does that make the organization bad, not necessarily, but...it's certainly a setback for what they appear to be trying to accomplish.

Hopefully BLM can get a better handle on their message than the Tea Party did. The TP was supposed to stay out of the whole social issue spectrum, but bless their little pea pickin' hearts, they just couldn't do it.
Way off subject, but watched The Big Short this weekend...TP made me think of this. Our group's agenda was to bring forth more meaningful legislation as it pertains to Dodd/Frank. Mark my words, when interest rates go up again (no idea when this going to happen because The Fed and certain MF companies have kept a lid on them so far), we're going to see some widespread corporate debt that will make 2008 like look a walk in the park. Won't be just the banks this time around.

I was dubious at first. I was a big fan of Dan Jones. Vitter has been awesome so far. Very impressed. The IFC still sucks tho.
Exactly, I'm still a huge Dan Jones fan and was very skeptical of Vitter but so far he's continued down the path Dr. Jones started. I also like the fact that those that wanted Dr. Jones fired and thought Vitter would stop or slow down his reforms have been disappointed.
