The NCAA is going to punish us for doing something over 75% of college football is guilty for. We all know that. If you don't, please wake up and get with the program. If you think about it, the NCAA is NOT punishing the people who are guilty (Barney, Kiffin, Vaughn, Boosters, recruits, Freeze). They're punishing the University, its students, its alumni and fans for something totally out of their control. Hell even if Freeze gets fired, he still gets paid and will eventually get another gig. Same with the assistant coaches.
I read earlier a great analogy about what this all looks like. Picture our win over Bama in 2014 at home after the game. There were probably 30-40K people rushing the field (which is illegal and punishable by fine which we paid for). All while thousands were rushing the field there were three police officers who pinned down a frat cat at the 10 yard line, reading him his Miranda rights. Ole Miss is that frat cat. Thousands are just as guilty as he was but they decided to catch one and make an example out of him even though it won't prevent him or anyone else from ever doing it again. It proves absolutely nothing.
Just keep in mind, if this NCAA jazz continues on what seems to be an inevitable path of destruction, you can bank on us being irrelevant again for at least another decade. If you think that's depressing, just think about how everyone else (just as guilty as we are) are just going to continue on without any ado. Start looking for hobbies during the months of September thru January because you're going to be free for a while.
